This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm that a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice to anyone. For any of those, reach the court that issued the warrant or the sheriff's office directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Here is where the questions people ask most often about Hampden County warrants actually belong:
- Whether a warrant exists: call the clerk of the court that issued it. Default and arrest warrants live with the Superior Court or with the District Court division that filed the case, not on a public sheriff's list.
- A missed court date: the division that set the case keeps the record. Ask whether the docket shows a default warrant, a payment-only default, or an arrest warrant.
- A family or support matter: the Hampden Probate and Family Court registry handles support and contempt process.
- A youth matter: the Juvenile Court session handles delinquency cases, and those records carry confidentiality limits.
- Civil service or a capias: the sheriff's Process Division serves civil, probate, and child-support process.
- Resolving or clearing a warrant: talk with a licensed Massachusetts attorney and the issuing court about a recall, a surrender, or a bond.
Start with the issuing clerk. The Hampden County Superior Court clerk is at 413-735-6016, and the criminal business office is at 413-735-6017. The District Court divisions are Springfield at 413-748-8600, Chicopee at 413-598-0099, Holyoke at 413-538-9710, Palmer at 413-283-8916, and Westfield at 413-568-8946. The Hampden Probate and Family Court registry is at 413-748-7760, and the Springfield Juvenile Court is at 413-748-7714.
For anything in sheriff custody, the Process Division works from 95 Liberty Street, PO Box 5005, Springfield, MA 01103, at 413-732-5772, and its public counter is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. That office handles civil process, not criminal warrant lookups. A custody or bail question after an arrest goes to the Hampden County Correctional Center in Ludlow, and an emergency belongs with 911.
